The FOHOW Smart Body Composition Scale combines modern design with intelligent measurement technology. In addition to body weight, it can – in conjunction with the compatible smartphone app – calculate and clearly display various body values.

Using the integrated Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) technology and high-quality sensors, weight and other body parameters are recorded and transmitted to the FOHOW app. This allows you to conveniently track your personal progress and compare your measurements at any time.

How body analysis works

The FOHOW Smart Scale first measures your body weight. During the measurement, a very weak electrical impulse, imperceptible to most people, is sent through the electrodes on the standing surface and the handle.

From the measured electrical resistance (bioimpedance) and the information stored in the user profile such as age, gender, and height, the app calculates various body values.

The displayed results are estimates and serve only to observe personal development over time.

Before first use

Before the first measurement, you should prepare the scale correctly.

Insert batteries

Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale and insert four AAA batteries according to the polarity markings (+/-).

If there is a protective film in the battery compartment, remove it before first use.

Choose a suitable location

Place the scale only on a:

• firm
• level
• dry
• non-slip surface.

Carpets or soft floors can affect the measurement result.

Check the device

Before each use, check the:

• standing surface
• electrodes
• handle
• connection cable

for visible damage.

The metal contacts should be clean and dry.

Connection to the FOHOW App

Body analysis is performed in conjunction with the compatible smartphone app.

Step 1

Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone.

Depending on the Android version, permission for device search or location sharing may also be required.

Step 2

Create a user profile.

Please enter your personal data as accurately as possible:

• Age
• Height
• Gender

A separate user profile should be created for each person.

Step 3

Activate the scale.

Briefly step onto the scale until 0.0 kg appears on the display.

Step 4

Pair the device.

Open the FOHOW app and select the found scale.

After successful connection, future measurements will be transferred automatically.

Performing body analysis correctly

For the most comparable results, we recommend the following procedure:

1. Measure barefoot.
2. Place dry feet on the metal contacts.
3. Hold the handle with both hands.
4. Place both palms completely on the electrodes.
5. Stand upright.
6. Do not move during the measurement.
7. Only step off the scale after the measurement is complete.

For meaningful comparison values, it is recommended to take measurements:

• always at approximately the same time of day
• before breakfast
• before physical activity
• under similar hydration conditions.

Meaning of measurement values

The FOHOW Smart Scale can – depending on the model and app version – calculate various body parameters.

These include, for example:

All values are calculated based on bioimpedance measurement and represent approximations.
